Book is #7 on Los Angeles Times nonfiction bestseller list
Yes, it is. Alas, the LA Times hides its list behind a subscriber-only wall, so you'll sort of have to take my word for it. This news makes me happy.
I returned from Black Rock City late last night. I will have more to say about it later, I'm sure. I read the first 114 pages in a typically dreadful dust storm Tuesday night in front of the Man a few hours after sunset. Thanks to Katy and Joe Joe the Clown, who helped make it possible equipment wise and were responsible for me even having the idea to try to do it. No, I failed to read the entire book aloud in one sitting. Flash, who readers of the book will recognize, actually talked me into stopping the madness after page 114, seeing that my physical situation was deteriorating rapidly. Thanks to everyone who sat through any part of the reading. I was gratified by all the love and affirmation I got from people who had read the book already.
