Going to Texas, Where you Should be on Hallowe'en Weekend

I'm traveling to Texas next week, and doing a couple of joint events for both the Burning Man book and the new anthology, Choice: The Best Of Reason. I am a senior editor at Reason, and have worked there for most of the past decade, and have two contributions to that book. The editor of that book, and of Reason, Nick Gillespie and I are doing two Texas appearances next week.

The first one is Friday, Oct. 29, starting at 7 p.m. It's at the Barnes & Noble Booksellers, University Village, 1612 S. University Dr #401, Fort Worth, TX. Call 817-335-2791 if you get lost.

The second one is the next day, Saturday Oct. 30, at 2 p.m. at the Barnes & Noble Booksellers, Preston & Park , 2201 Preston Rd, Suite E Plano, TX. Call 972-612-0999
if you get lost.

At those events Nick and I will both be reading from Choice, and I'll be reading from This is Burning Man as well, though the Burning Man portion of the show will be smaller than my solo Burning Man-only appearances. Still, I'd love to see you.

While I'm here, I'm proud to note the batch of very positive reader reviews of my book to be found on its Amazon page.

And forthcoming: my triumphant return to San Franciso, birthplace of the Burning Man and one of my very favorite cities (after Black Rock City, of course....), for a reading and talk at The Lab. More on that later, but mark your calenders for Thursday Nov. 4, 7 p.m.

My friends and comrades and tribesmen of the Los Angeles Cacophony Society, through whom I was first introduced to Burning Man, are doing one of their hellishly fantastic Institutes of Mental Decay for the creepy holiday season. I deeply regret book promotional activities have me in Texas, but you will feel my ghost haunting the eldritch halls of this experiment in pushing limits til they fall over and break, making a difficult mess that no one will help clean up. Friday Oct. 29 and Sat. Oct 30, at 453 S. Spring St. in downtown Los Angeles. See the link for all info.
